Autograph letter signed C.L. Dodgson : Christ Church, Oxford, to Harry Furniss, 1885 May 6.

Expressing his pleasure that the first drawing for Sylvie and Bruno is being engraved; agreeing with Furniss that they should wait until this drawing is "cranked off" to do more; noting that he plans to write out the whole book during his three months by the sea: "then, if I were to die, the book could still be brought out, and the children could read it."
